Brief Job Overview/Summary
The EOF program is designed to meet the educational and financial needs of students who are capable and motivated but lack adequate preparation and/or the financial means for college. Students admitted into Stockton University as EOF freshmen must successfully complete the EOF Summer Academy before they can enroll at the university. Stockton University houses two EOF programs: the Galloway EOF Program and the Atlantic City EOF Program. The EOF Summer Academy runs from June 28, 2025 through July 31, 2025 simultaneously on both the Galloway campus and the Atlantic City campus and is designed to develop the skills, character and discipline needed for success at Stockton. This rigorous five-week program is designed to help students develop their foundation in college-level reading, writing, and mathematics. Additionally, students are equipped with knowledge, information, and resources to help them transition academically and socially to Stockton University.
Compensation:
$15.50/hour, Monday-Thursday, 3:30pm-9:00pm, Dinner included
Dates of Employment:
Monday - Thursday 3:30-pm-9:00 pm July 2-3, 8-11, July 15-18, July 22-26, July 29-30.
Mandatory training will take place over two days during the week of Monday
June 24th – Friday June 28th. Specific dates will be disclosed during the interview process.
Descriptions of Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
• Attend assigned afternoon modules (3:45pm-5:30pm) and serve as additional academic support for the Instructional Assistant
• Serve as tutor during evening modules (7:00pm-9:00pm)
• Serve as primary tutor to assist students with coursework during drop-in evening tutoring modules. Individual or group tutoring as needed
• Support Stockton’s Diversity commitment and promote a strong sense of belonging
• Refer students of concern to Instructional Assistant, and provide one on one review sessions with underperforming students. Follow-up will be provided to EOF Student Success Coaches and faculty
• Follow EOF and University reporting structure to document any medical, behavioral, psychological or other student issues
• Monitor the daily attendance of each EOF student and report to the Instructional Assistants
Required Qualifications:
• At least one full year (2 semesters) of college experience
Writing Tutor
• Academic or professional writing sample
• Unofficial transcript or relevant work experience
Math Tutor
• Unofficial transcript or relevant work experience
Preferred Qualifications:
• Tutoring or teaching experience
