This is an in-person on campus, non-remote position. The University has implemented a pilot program allowing employees to work either a compressed 4-day work week with extended workdays or may work from home one day a week. Participation is subject to Divisional Executive approval depending on operational need.

Brief Job Overview/Summary

The Student Worker positions at Stockton University are a highly recognized internal resource with a passion for providing excellent customer service and value to a dynamic campus population. We partner with the campus community to provide temporary student worker positions hired to assist university departments with semester based and short-term assignments. Hiring is based upon a need for additional assistance at various times of the year. Stockton University will accept applications on a continual basis from qualified, current enrolled Stockton University students. If you are interested in a student worker position, please submit your application and include within your letter of interest any departments you may be interested in working in.

Descriptions of Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

Students Workers may be required to perform any of these duties depending on their assigned department/division:

• Greet students, parents and campus community in person and by phone
• Answer front office phone and direct inquires to the appropriate individual if available and/or take clear written messages
• Ensure front office space is covered when staff leave their work space for any length of time
• Deliver, pick-up, and distribute internal mail and packages for the department
• Make delivers and pick-ups in other departments as needed
• Assist department staff with making copies, filing, faxing, and scanning
• Learn computer programs to assist with data entering
• Maintain and/or create spreadsheets, reports, and logs as needed
• Keep bulletin boards organized and up to date
• May assist with special projects, research and events
• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled as a student at Stockton University
• Ability to communicate effectively in person and over the phone
• Ability to maintain excellent organizational skills and detailed organization
• Ability to work independently and/or as a team member
• Excellent professional demeanor, self-motivate and flexible
• Dependable, punctual and have good customer service skills
