Brief Job Overview/Summary

The Coastal Research Center Swimmer supports water-based research projects by assisting with in-water data collection, field surveys, and equipment handling. This role helps research staff carry out coastal and marine fieldwork safely and efficiently while working as part of a research team.

Descriptions of Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

• Assist with in-water research and swimming-based data collection
• Support field surveys and coastal monitoring activities
• Help with setup, transport, and cleanup of research equipment
• Follow safety procedures for water-based and fieldwork activities
• Assist research staff with field operations and project needs
• Support basic data collection and documentation
• Work as part of a team during field and research activities
• Must be available any day, Monday through Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm

Required Qualifications:

• Lifeguard or Dive (PADI/NAUI) certifications
• Current First Aid and CPR certifications
• Military training may substitute certifications
• Being comfortable in the open water

Preferred Qualifications:

• Enjoys hard work
• A team player
