This is an in-person on campus, non-remote position. The University has implemented a pilot program allowing employees to work either a compressed 4-day work week with extended workdays or may work from home one day a week. Participation is subject to Divisional Executive approval depending on operational need.

Brief Job Overview/Summary

The Admissions Ambassadors position is a member of the Division of Enrollment Management under direct supervision of the Campus Experience and Events Coordinator and the Associate Director of Admissions Services. The Admissions Ambassadors are responsible for giving all individual and special group campus tours for Stockton University, corresponding with prospective students and families via the Admissions general e-mail account and through social media, and is the liaison between the Office of Admissions and all University departments and guests.

*Candidates must be currently enrolled at Stockton University during the time of employment.

Descriptions of Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

The Admission Ambassadors must be officially enrolled at Stockton as a full-time/part time student at Stockton University. The position requires a minimum of 5 hours and maximum of 25 hours weekly. Ambassadors must maintain a cumulative Stockton University GPA of 2.75 or better. The schedule is flexible as it will require work without direct supervision, weekend and evening hours.


• Professionally represent Stockton University to prospective students, parents and other visitors to campus as well as via direct correspondence to the Admissions@stockton.edu email address
• Adhering to the dress code set forth in the 2022-2023 Handbook for all admissions events
• Attend and participate in Admissions Related Events, including virtual and face-to-face events consistent with federal and University guidelines for COVID-19 compliance
• Other general duties (social media requirements, call campaigns, meetings, office tasks, etc.)
• Duties as assigned based upon the needs of the Admissions Office and the Admissions Staff

 Required Qualifications

• Extensive Knowledge of all that Stockton University has to offer to potential new students and their families
• High motivation and commitment to Stockton University, including the ability to self-start, be calm under pressure, meet deadlines, work without direct supervision, be able to multi-task, problem-solve, and relate to a variety of personalities under diverse circumstances
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written
• Ability to maintain confidential information and files and comply with FERPA guidelines
• Outgoing personality and able to comfortably interact with new people in a pleasant manner
• Excellent organizational and customer service skills
• Ability to represent Stockton University in a positive, professional manner

Minimum Education Required:

Cumulative Stockton University GPA of 2.75 or better

 Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with Recruit, Qualtrics, and other University data management systems
• Work/leadership experience
• Skills in effective interpersonal communications
• Background knowledge on promoting on Social Media platforms
