The Languages and Culture Studies Program invites applications for an adjunct teaching position to teach Beginning Spanish I and/or II. These courses are the first-year sequence for instruction in Spanish language. The principal objective of these courses is to help students achieve linguistic proficiency and cultural awareness by learning basic communicative skills and grammatical structures of the Spanish language; practicing the four language skills (reading, writing, speaking and listening); and learning about diverse aspects of Hispanic cultures. Beginning Spanish refers to elementary-level language courses, an introduction to basic Spanish grammar, vocabulary, and communicative structures.
