The University has implemented a pilot program allowing employees to work either a compressed 4-day work week with extended workdays or may work from home one day a week. Brief Job Overview/Summary

The EOF program is designed to meet the educational and financial needs of students who college. Students admitted into Stockton University as EOF freshmen must successfully are capable and motivated but lack adequate preparation and/or the financial means for complete the EOF Summer Academy before they can enroll at the university. Stockton University houses two EOF programs: the Galloway EOF Program and the Atlantic City EOF Program. The EOF Summer Academy runs from June 30th through August 1st simultaneously on both the Galloway campus and the Atlantic City campus and is designed to develop the skills, character, and discipline needed for success at Stockton. This rigorous five-week program is designed to help students develop their foundation in college-level reading, writing, and mathematics. Additionally, students are equipped with knowledge, information, and resources to help them transition academically and socially to Stockton University.

The Transportation Coordinator position is available within both campus programs. This is a stipend position, not hourly; hours/responsibilities may fluctuate based on the needs of the program. The Transportation Coordinator will not hold additional employment or take classes (including online) without the approval of the Executive Director/Director.

A $3,600 stipend is paid among multiple pay periods, per the University payroll calendar. Additionally, the chosen candidate will receive an on-campus apartment from June 26th to August 3rd and meals during training and when students are on campus. Housing is optional for this position.

Descriptions of Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

The Transportation Coordinator/Office Assistant is a 6-week live-on position (June 26th through August 3rd) reporting to the Student Success Coach of their respective program and is expected to:

  • Transport students in need of medical attention to on-campus medical resources or Urgent Care/ER; remain with the student until a parent/guardian arrives or the student can be transported back to campus
  • Document transport and student illness through CARES referrals and to immediate supervisors
  • Assist students in coordinating transportation to return home on weekends, and transport them to public transport depots
  • Pick up food and supplies at local retailers/restaurants
  • Transport students to and from on-campus locations for appointments and meetings
  • Work in the EOF office 10-15 hours per week and be on call 24/7 for transport
  • Assist the EOF professional staff with various office tasks
  • Responsibly operate the Stockton University-issued vehicle for all student transportation
  • Complete other duties as assigned by EOF professional staff

Required Qualifications

  • A valid driver’s license with 2 years of driving history
  • Willing/able to transport students and other staff members in a Stockton University Vehicle
  • Knowledge & Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite & Google Suite
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, technological, and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of students, faculty, and staff
  • Must understand the mission and goals of the Educational Opportunity Fund Program
