This is an in-person on campus, non-remote position. The University has implemented a pilot program allowing employees to work either a compressed 4-day work week with extended workdays or may work from home one day a week. Participation is subject to Divisional Executive approval depending on operational need.

Brief Job Overview/Summary
The Chemistry Program of Stockton University is seeking to fill a full-time (10 month) non-tenure track Teaching Specialist position. The position is renewable pending annual review beginning Spring 2024. Evening teaching responsibilities are possible.
Descriptions of Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
• Offer courses in General and Organic Chemistry, lectures and labs, with the possibility of offering a course in the General Studies curriculum – 32 teaching credit hours per academic year, with lecture courses carrying 4 TCH and laboratories 2 TCH.
• A portion of the workload (2-3 credits per semester) may involve Program service in assessment and/or coordinating multi-section laboratories.
• Serve as preceptor to students.
• Provide service to the University, community and/or profession.
• Perform other duties that may be assigned by the Dean of Natural Sciences and Mathematics and/or the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs.
Required Qualifications
• Master's Degree or ABD in Chemistry or related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Ph.D. in Chemistry or related field, teaching experience in introductory courses of General and Organic Chemistry.
• Experience in assessment and/or organization of multi-section laboratories.
• Commitment to teaching excellence in a liberal arts environment.
• Academic experience with culturally diverse populations.
