Brief Job Overview/Summary

The School of Health Sciences seeks to hire an individual with excellent communication and customer service skills. The individual should be detail oriented, able to work independently as well as collaboratively and assist in providing general office support in a professional office setting and have strong experience in Microsoft Office Suite products.

Descriptions of Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

• Provides General Office Support for daily operational function and administrative support for the School of Health Sciences
• Initial point of contact assistance for visitors in Dean’s Suite
• Answering phones and correspondence for SHS email accounts
• Provide administrative and technical support for daily functions for the dean's suite/school, including simulation suite requests, room reservations staff and faculty in SHS, and meeting scheduling as requested by managerial staff
• Provide general administrative support for program chairs and faculty
• Submit and track work orders issued through all areas for the School of Health Sciences
• Student Assistant Operations: assigns and oversees student workers in specific tasks as needed for the completion of designated responsibilities
• Serves as backup for Administrative Assistant to the Dean relating to Personnel processes and administrative support
• Assist Budget Administrator with assigned tasks and record management
• Assist with team support of School event planning
• Process and coordinate all business-related printing requests with Print shop.
• Student Evaluation of Teaching/IDEAs - assists with managing database of files
• Handles all facets of processing student document verification of courses for clinical licensure for students applying for licensing, including working with registrar, program chairs and certified mail documentation and archiving completed forms to track reporting of credentials
• Assist with and attend Open House events; orientation and other school-wide recruitment events as needed, including Commencement

Required Qualifications:

• High School diploma
Applicants must meet one of the following or a combination of both experience and education. Thirty (30) semester-hour credits are equal to one (1) year of relevant experience.
• Five (5) years of professional experience in different aspects of administration and business practices; including design and implementation of policy and procedures, vendor service contracts and improving and updating management practices.
OR
• Possession of a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; and one (1) year of the above-mentioned professional experience

NOTE: "Professional experience" refers to work that is creative, analytical, evaluative, and interpretive; requires a range and depth of specialized knowledge of the profession's principles, concepts, theories, and practices; and is performed with the authority to act according to one's own judgment and make accurate and informed decisions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, SharePoint, Excel skills and Adobe pdf functionality.
• Experience in administrative support in a professional office
• Three (3) years of experience in office/professional setting.
• Associate's or higher degree
